Karen McClintock has a B.A. degree from the University of Northern Iowa. She has studied with Walter Haedrich, Claudia Anderson, Tena Hess and Janet Stodd. Mrs. McClintock has performed in the Professional Flute Choir at the NFA Convention for 8 years, specializing on flute, alto and bass flutes. Other musical groups include the Colorado Silver Winds Flute Orchestra, Sterling Municipal Band, Quad City Wind Ensemble, QC Music Guild, and QC Flutes Unlimited. She performed in a Master Class for Claudia Anderson and Jill Felber. Mrs. McClintock maintains a private teaching studio and is the arranger of many special selections for Grace Notes Flute Quartet.
Cheryl Jordan has a bachelor’s degree in education from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. Her flute teachers include Janet Stodd, Catherine Papish, Carol Neulieb and Walter Haedrich. In 1994 she performed at the National Flute Association Convention with the Wind Sounds Flute Quartet. She has been a member of the Quad City Wind Ensemble and Quad City Flutes Unlimited since 1988, and recently began performing with the Elil Recorder Consort. She has maintained a private teaching studio for 15 years.
Laura Hoffman has Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Roosevelt University, Chicago. Her flute teachers include Wallace Mann, Principal of the National Symphony and Jean Berkenstock, Principal of the Lyric Opera Company in Chicago. She was principal flutist with the Opera of Illinois and the Moody Community Orchestra. She taught privately in the Chicago area.
Since moving to the Quad Cities in 1999, she has been a member of Quad Cities Flutes Unlimited and Quad City Wind Ensemble.
Crystal Duffee holds a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. Her flute teachers include Deb Schreiner, Carol Neulieb, Peter Middleton, and Claudia Anderson. She has performed in many local organizations, including Quad City Wind Ensemble, Clinton Symphony Orchestra, Sterling Municipal Band, Quad City Flutes Unlimited, Josh Duffee and His Orchestra, and Circa 21. She maintains a private teaching studio, and is frequently requested as an adjudicator and clinician in Iowa and Illinois.
